Roger avary

The Oscar winning screenwriter of Tarantino’s epic flick “Pulp Fiction”, Roger Avary was reportedly sentenced on Tuesday to a year in jail after the screenwriter was charged for being involved in a fatal traffic crash in Southern California. Avary, who has also worked as a director and a producer was also asked to serve a five years probation. According to sources, Avary was charged with drunken driving and causing a fatal accident which took the life of an Italian citizen. Inside sources revealed that the Ventura County Superior Court Judge Edward Bordie took into consideration the fact that the alleged screenwriter had no previous criminal records or whatsoever. Avary’s growing age also played a pivotal role during his sentence. “And he has shown remorse,” Bordie said after passing on his judgement. “I am satisfied that, in light the court chose to put him on probation, it gave him a year in the county jail,” said prosecutor Michael Leif. According to the District Attorney Judge, Avary can attend the jail’s work furlough program which suggests that the accused can work while serving his term. Avary will also attend the DUI education program. Roger Avary was reportedly charged on January 2008, when the car he was driving met with an accident thereby killing a passenger, Andrea Zini. Avary’s wife who survived after suffering some minor injuries was rescued from the car. In the month of August Avary pleaded guilty to “gross vehicular manslaughter” and confessed that he was intoxicated while he was driving. Avary is best know for his work in the movie “Pulp Fiction” which had fetched him an Oscar. He also co-wrote the screenplay of the movie “BeoWulf”.
