Rick Bayless : Top Chef Master

Oklahoma City native Rick Bayless on Wednesday was crowned Top Chef Master. The Northwest Classen High School and University of Oklahoma graduate who now lives in Chicago was pitted against Hubert Keller and Michael Chiarello, both of California, in the finale episode of the Bravo reality show "Top Chef Masters.” The show pitted established chefs from across the country in a series of elimination competitions that culminated Wednesday night. Bayless, 55, started his career at his parents’ barbecue restaurant, The Hickory House. His mother, Levita Anderson, and sister, Luann Tucker, still live in the metro area. His brother, Skip, is a sportswriter, author and television personality on ESPN. Bayless, the author of six cookbooks, owns two restaurants in Chicago and a line of Mexican food products under the label Frontera.
