Michael Mcdonald:

The Fiesta Bowl was featured on FOX, the game which is a United States college football bowl game is played annually at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Sponsored by Frito-Lay, and named with their Tostitos brand, the bowl originated in 1971 and 2006, and was then held at Tempe, Arizona at the Sun Devil Stadium.

Becoming part of the Bowl Championships Series (BCS) in 1998, past sponsors included Sunkist and IBM. It also before 2007 every four years, more recently in 2003 was a designee for the National Championship Game.

This year Fox had Gold and Platinum selling American R&B/ soul singer and songwriter, Michael McDonald from Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan and Goldstar fame to sing the National Anthem. Once described as the “blue-eyed soul” singer his distinctive and husky soulful voice rings with the baritones range.

Born in 1952 in St Louis, McDonald, by the sounds of most reports of the discerning college football viewers, wouldn’t of been their first choice.

Also those same fans are not shy at voicing their views on the “careless camera work” by the station.
