Eddie Fatu, also known as Umaga, the former WWE intercontinental champion died of a heart attack, thesun.co.uk cited his family as confirming. He was 36.Umaga dead at 36:

The Wrestling Observer was cited as reporting that the Samoan-American star fell asleep while watching TV in his home in Houston Texas on Thursday night.


Eddie Fatu was found breathless and nose-bleeding by his wife hours later and rushed to a local hospital where he was put on life support until the decision was made to take him off of it.


Umaga was reportedly presumed dead around 6:00 PM EST, after suffering a second heart attack.

About 6 to 9 percent of people who experience heart attack die with 50 percent of deaths occur within one hour of the heart attack, often outside a hospital.


Many wrestlers, including Eddie Guerrero,'British Bulldog' Davey Boy Smith, Andrew 'Test' Martin and Chris Benoit, have died young. Fatu is the latest to die at young age.


Fatu is not alone. 1.5 million heart attacks occur in the United States each year and 500,000 die from the cardiovascular event annually, according to Women's Heart Foundation.

What is heart attack?

Dr. Colin T Campbell, a distingished nutrition professor at Cornell University, reports in his Book titled China Study that more than 70 percent young soldiers who died in the Korean War suffered some degree of plaque builup in their arteries which he believes results from unhealthy diet with too much meat and processed food!


Heart attack symptoms

Not every heart attack victims experience the same signs or symptoms. Many cases start slowly as mild pain or discomfort. Some people do not have any symptoms at all.
