Move over, Kelly Ripa: Janelle Wang’s got your chair. The host of local San Francisco talk show The View From the Bay won a chance to co-host Live with Regis and Kelly for a day, and today is her big day. Also on today’s episode: actor James Spader (Boston Legal) will talk about his new film Shorts; Dr. Melina Jampolis will promote her book The No Time to Lose Diet and discuss how to pack healthy lunches for your kids; and Regis and Janelle will announce the two top chefs who will come back to the show on Friday for the Ultimate Hometown Grill Off. According to the ABC7 website, Janelle started at ABC7 in San Francisco in February 2003 as a news reporter, covering issues such as crime, politics and education. Her coverage of the Scott Peterson murder trial was seen throughout the world. Before that, she worked on a morning show in Portland, Oregon â€" but she is actually a Bay Area native. Janelle is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, and she enjoys working with the Asian community. Outside of work, she likes to swim, ski and play the piano. Yesterday’s guest host on Live withe Regis and Kelly was Lucy Bustamante from New Orleans. This week’s other guest hosts will be Sandra Shaw, Tram Mai and Tamara Taggart.
