Moyer of Pennsylvania was convicted of misdemeanor battery today for reportedly groping Brittney D. McGoldrick as she play Minnie Mouse at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Here’s part of McGoldrick’s testimony in Orange County Court: “My first reaction I just pushed him down. I was doing everything I could to get his hands off my breasts.” The Orlando Sentinel reported that the man told the judge he hadn’t groped the woman. His son backed him up, saying he would never do such a thing. Moyer has no prior criminal record. That didn’t sway the jury however, who handed him a guilty verdict. Part of Moyer’s sentence will be to write a letter of apology to the woman. He will also face 180 days of probation, 50 hours of community service, pay $1,000 in court fees, and possibly undergo a psychological evaluation. After learning that the man was found guilty of groping the Minnie Mouse actor, Spokeswoman Zoraya Suarez of Walt Disney World said: “The verdict reinforces the fact that this type of behavior is not acceptable.” Understandably, the resort has now blacklisted him from entry to all of its parks and facilities.
