On Sunday, it got out that Perez Hilton was assaulted after a shouting match with singer Will.I.Am and his entourage. The assault was allegedly committed by Black Eyed Peas manager Polo Molina, who has been charged by police.
But after the assault, Perez Hilton had much more to say about Will.I.Am, calling him all kinds of names on videos for his website. Such name calling was how the fighting got kicked off in the first place, as the assault video shows.
The video of Perez Hilton's assault shows that things got uglier after he called Will.I.Am a "f***ing f**got." Since he is gay - as if no one forgot after the Carrie Prejean controversy - Hilton likely felt he was more free to say it.
Perez Hilton commented in one of his online video responses that he used the term because of the heat of the moment. Specifically, he said he couldn't think rationally when "a thug disguised as a musician" was yelling at him.
After the assault video aired, GLAAD came down on Hilton for using the gay slur against Will.I.Am. However, it is Hilton that wants GLAAD to apologize to him, saying that they "victimized" him further.
As for Will.I.Am, he started a Twitter page and posted a video response just to shoot back at Hilton for his accusations and words. Now the Internet is consumed by Hilton and Will.I.Am's various online antics.
It is fitting that Twitter has a small part in this feud, since Hilton used his Twitter page to get people to call the police after he was assaulted. In this digital age, concepts like 911 seem just a little bit old fashioned and useless.
