Desperate Housewives Spoilers

Desperate Housewives Spoilers:

For several months, everything Desperate has been leading up to tonight's episode titled, Boom Crunch, in which a plane crashes on Wisteria Lane, just as the housewives are readying the neighborhood for their annual Christmas festivities. Speculation of what would happen has been so great that even trash-talking celebrity blogger Perez Hilton mistakenly identified images of a movie-set plane crash as exclusives from the pivotal Desperate Housewives episode a few months back. Even more rumors suggested that the plane will feature an Oceanic logo, as a wink to another popular ABC series, LOST, but Desperate Housewives creator, Marc Cherry has denied any such crossover.

While actual plot points for tonight's episode are being guarded more securely than say a Presidential Dinner, here's a few scoops that I've discovered for sure:

After being unceremoniously fired by Carlos (Ricardo Chavera), Lynette (Felicity Huffman) decides to follow through with suing him, creating more tension between herself and Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker). That tension escalates when the ladies are together singing Christmas carols for the neighborhood. During a performance of Silent Night, Lynette and Gaby get into an argument that is anything but silent. Look for Wisteria Lane's gay neighbors, Lee (Kevin Rahm), his partner Bob (the hilarious Tuc Watkins) and Mrs. McCluskey's main squeeze Roy (Orson Bean) to have the best lines during this sequence.

Prior to the performance, the rest of the ladies learn of Lynette's pregnancy when they are all outside decorating the neighborhood for the holidays. When Bree (Marcia Cross) hears the news, she congratulates Lynette on her pregnancy, which makes Gaby feel Bree is taking sides.

The neighborhood decorating is also the scene of one of this week's funniest moment comes when Lee asks the girls if he can join the their singing group, the Jingle Belles when they go caroling. Mrs. McCluskey (Kathryn Joosten) quickly denies him with, "No, we're not the Jingle Balls."

Later in the episode, Susan (Teri Hatcher) decides to visit Katherine (Dana Delany) in the hospital, knowing Mike (James Denton) had been with Katherine just moments before she stabbed herself with a knife. The visit quickly turns ugly when Katherine warns Susan, saying Mike was the one who stabbed her. In an effort to convince Katherine to seek help, her daughter Dylan (Lyndsy Forseca) returns to her side. Rumor has it Susan is responsible for the reunion.

Another recent reunion, that of Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) and a former prison mate plays a pivotal role in tonight's episode. Armed with photos of said reunion, Bree reveals her affair with Karl (Richard Burgi) to Orson and threatens blackmailing him with the photos if he doesn't grant her a divorce.

About the crash:

According to reports and statements made by series creator Cherry, there will be two, maybe three fatalities linked to tonight's crash. As a faithful viewer of Desperate Housewives since episode one, here are my theories:

It has been widely publicized that Dan Castellaneta (best know for his voice-over work on another popular Sunday night series, The Simpsons, most notably as Homer Simpson) will play the pilot of the doomed flight. In an early sequence, his doctor warns him of some health issues. So my guess for the most obvious victim is the pilot of the aircraft.

As for the remaining one or two victims, my guess is Bree or Lynette will be most impacted by the crash. There have been rumors suggesting the plane was sent over Wisteria Lane by Karl and contains a banner professing his love to Bree. IF that is true, it wouldn't be a surprise if the plane crashes into Bree's house, with Orson inside. The promos of tonight's episode have been promising an unlikely hero, so my theory is Karl will rush into the house, pull Orson from the wreckage, with one of them not making it through the ordeal alive.

Another possibility is that Lynette is hurt or traumatized by the crash and consequently looses one of her unborn children. Rumors about next season area already making their way onto the internet suggesting that Lynette gives birth to a child with special needs, so the crash could complicate her pregnancy.

Of course it would help Angie (Drea de Matteo) and the rest of the Bolen family if recently seen housewife, Mona Clark (Maria Cominis) dies in the crash. Just last week, after Danny (Beau Mirchoff) swallowed a bunch of pills, he ended up in the hospital and under the care of Mona, who happens to be a nurse. He woke up while she was in the room and revealed that his name was actually Tyler. If Mona perishes in the crash, the Bolen's won't have to worry about leaving Wisteria Lane just ye
