Gloriana:

Gloriana won Breakthrough Artist at the 2009 AMA, beating out Lady GaGa. Who is Gloriana? Gloriana’s American Music Awards (AMAs) win tonight over Lady GaGaputs the country quartet front and center.

But one person that could be credited for Gloriana’s win is Taylor Swift. Taylor chose Gloriana to open for her on tour. The band credited Taylor backstage tonight. “We’re so thankful to Taylor”.

Brothers Tom and Michael Gossi started Gloriana in 2007 along with Rachel Reinert and Cheyenne Kimball. Gloriana says of their music: “Hands down, we thought Lady Gaga was gonna win. We just freaked out when they called our name.”

In fact, in virtually every category GaGa was up against Taylor Swift, Swift won.
