TV Junkie: Cronkite Ill; Conan vs. Letterman Gets Tight

Our thoughts are with the family of veteran newsman, Walter Cronkite, who is reportedly gravely ill. If you were a kid in the '70s, chances are that Cronkite is still the voice and face of the news to you.
---
The late night battle between Letterman and Conan is getting tighter. Conan still has a slight lead but this is rapidly closing and the two should achieve parity in the next few weeks but we're heading into summer which usually means viewers will spend a few less hours in front of the TV.
---
Don't forget that next week: "Jon and Kate Plus 8" have a major announcement to make on Monday; Jason Jones will be reporting from Iran all week; and on The Weather Channel it's Hurricane Week all week long. Over on E! Online, some "House" folks spill the beans on the upcoming season.
---
Tonight it's late night Lakers' night on Conan and Kimmel. Sunday we're psyched for another "True Blood" episode.

The TV Junkie Plan: Tonight - Bill Maher, Jonathan Ross, "The Soup", Conan, Fallon. Saturday - "The Bad Seed", "Ashes to Ashes". Sunday - "Storm Stories: Hurricane Week", "True Blood".
